The Interpreter (#57)

I really enjoyed this. No one is as deft or capable at handling thrillers as Sydney Pollack and he again turns in a high quality, well paced, fluidly unfolding picture. Nicole Kidman’s accent is actually pretty damn, and both she and Sean Penn turn in heartfelt, well matched performances. I really liked the script both in terms of the way events unfolded and dialogue, and found the story to be very nicely compelling. I thought it was great and would happily watch it again.
